Terms of Use

1. What this service is

whereismyPNG? helps you discover which City Gas Distribution (CGD) company is authorised to supply piped natural gas (PNG) in your area. You share a location — your device's current position or a PIN code — and we check it against geographical area (GA) authorisation boundaries to show the relevant supplier.

2. What this service is not

• We are not a gas supplier and do not provide PNG connections ourselves.
• We are not affiliated with PNGRB or any CGD company. Coverage shown is indicative, based on publicly available geographical area (GA) authorisation data, and may be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm availability with the supplier directly.
• A result shown here does not create any relationship, commitment or timeline between you and the named CGD company.
• PIN-code results are approximate: a PIN code is converted to a representative map point, which may fall outside your exact premises — especially near area boundaries.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the service for personal, non-commercial coverage checks.
• Do not misuse it (automated scraping, bulk querying, or attempts to disrupt the service).

4. Liability

The service is provided "as is", free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made based on the coverage shown, for the conduct of any CGD company, or for service interruptions or data inaccuracies.

Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Location — the latitude/longitude your device shares when you tap "Use my current location". It is captured only at that moment; we never track your location in the background.
• PIN code — if you choose to check coverage by PIN code instead.
• Lookup records — each coverage check is stored with the checked point, how it was provided (device location or PIN code), the result (covered or not, and which supplier), and a timestamp.

We do not ask for or store your name, mobile number, address, account, or any identity information. Lookup records are not linked to you.

2. How we use it

• To check your location against CGD geographical area boundaries and show the authorised supplier.
• In aggregate and anonymous form, to understand where people are looking for PNG — including areas not yet covered — and to improve PIN-code-based results over time.

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share individual lookup records with anyone, including CGD companies; only aggregate, anonymous coverage statistics may be shared.
• We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use tracking cookies.

4. Storage and retention

Lookup records are stored securely in our database in India and retained in anonymous form for coverage analytics. The app stores only its own interface files on your device (for offline use as a web app) — no personal data is kept on the device.

5. Your rights

Since lookup records contain no identity information, they cannot be traced back to an individual. For any privacy question or concern, write to support@gisminds.in.

6. Changes

If the app later adds features that collect personal details (for example, registering interest in a connection with a supplier), this policy will be updated first and the app will ask for your explicit consent at that point.
